Imagining vs. willing

A common mistake is to treat the law of assumption like a muscle — to strain, repeat affirmations forcefully, and grit your teeth. Neville taught the opposite. Imagining is not willing. Will is effort against resistance; imagining is the quiet acceptance of a state as already so.

Notice how easily you assume the worst when anxious: no effort is required, the feeling simply colors everything. The same faculty, turned gently toward the wish fulfilled, is all that is asked. You don’t push the feeling — you fall into it, the way you fall asleep.

So when you catch yourself trying hard, treat that effort as information: it is a quiet confession that you still feel the wish is absent. Relax the striving. Assume, accept, and let the assumption do its own work.

Try this

Find one place you’re “trying” to manifest. Drop the effort and simply assume it’s already done.
