The shadow and the wish

Neville says assume the wish; Jung warns that what we’ve disowned will sabotage us from the dark. The two meet here: an assumption fighting an unconscious counter-belief usually loses.

So the inner work and the manifesting work are one. Meeting the shadow — the part that doesn’t believe it deserves the wish — is often what finally lets the assumption hold.
